10-19-24- It was down to the wire but our first event is in the books. Our complete renovation of the Old Lexington Furniture Finishing Line that started nearly two years ago, culminated with our very first event, The Lexington Habitat Gala. We couldn't have planned a better inaugural event for Holland Brooks. The Gatsby Themed event fit the space perfectly. As the record crowd rolled in, the space was transformed to the roaring twenties. The ladies, dressed in fishnets and flappers, while the made men donned in their finest vintage suites. From the attire to the amazing place settings, the Gala was the perfect compliment to the historical industrial renovation.
The event kicked off on a high note with Cuisine Kathleen serving a buffet featuring a delectable carved butter-roasted beef tenderloin with horseradish aioli. Their exceptional service and delicious food earned them top marks, and we are still reminiscing about the delightful candied bacon. Following dinner, Habitat presented a new home to a deserving recipient, and Reynolds Shoaf led the auction to raise funds for the organization. In the end, the event not only broke attendance records but also set a new benchmark for funds raised for the local Habitat Organization. We are grateful for the positive feedback on our new venue and the fantastic event organized by Habitat for Humanity. It was a truly successful inaugural event, and we look forward to welcoming you to our next gathering.
